This is a quick, hearty dessert which will warm you up on a cold winter evening.  I wanted to share it with all my friends and my new friends so……
Take a homely measure of 1 and 1/2 cups flour
Add 2 tsps. of baking powder, a pinch of salt and
stir well then add 1 cup of sugar and stir again.
Add 1/2 cup butter chopped into little pieces. Mix until butter is the size of peas.
Meanwhile, melt 3 tablespoons of butter into the bottom of a very large casserole (oven proof) dish.
Set aside 2 and 1/2 cups of fresh or thawed frozen local fruit with a little water added to make juice.
Now add 1 cup of milk to the flour mixture and just toss and stir it gentley such as you would for bisquits.
Then place big spoonfuls of the flour mixture into the casserole dish on top of the melted butter.
Finally add the fruit with juice on top of the flour mixture.
Cook in a 350 degree oven for 40 – 45 minutes.
Serve steaming hot with local fresh cream or locally made vanilla ice cream.

Enjoy!  And let me know how you liked it!
